1952, the year when it all began! Teesing was founded and was run from a residential property in Voorburg. Teesing mainly focussed on trading in plate processing machinery during the initial years after its foundation.
The level of success enjoyed soon meant the residential property wasn't big enough anymore and a larger site needed to be found. The result was a beautiful semi-detached villa in Scheveningen. Another property was also occupied in 1961, which served as Teesing's storage facility. However, the company's activities had expanded to such an extent that by the end of the nineteen sixties, the activities were divided across four different sites.
The decision was made to have new offices developed to save both time and money. Teesing moved to its current location in 1970, after which the other premises were sold. A new course was mapped out for Teesing under the management of H.R. Teesing, who took over the running of the company from his father back in 1976.
Teesing increased its focus on the niche markets as an importer, where advice and service were also required in addition to the supply of goods. Plate processing was disposed of and the Teesing organisation acquired a new business definition: supplier and advisor for fittings, valves, tubing and assemblies for industrial applications in the pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation and transport of media sectors. The formula which Teesing still employs today.
As it is feared that the manufacturing industry will be leaving the Netherlands, it has been decided to also focus on export. Activities started in China, where an American licence is being further developed with a major local natural gas distributor. And successfully so! A Rep. Office was started in 2003 and a fully fledged subsidiary has been active in Beijing since 2004 under the name Teesing Industrial Systems China. This company mainly focuses on alternative fuels, which are virtually non-polluting. The level of interest in Asia is definitely on the increase, as governments feel the air quality is constantly becoming more important. Teesing entered into a cooperation agreement with two renowned Dutch companies in 2004, under the name Gas Systems Holland, to start implementing natural gas projects across the entire world. Plus a second site was launched abroad in 2004 at the specific request of a customer, this time in New Jersey in the United States. This successful site is now mainly focussed on the semi-conductor industry.
Teesing reached the respectable age of 55 in 2007. As a result of its specialist and excellent technical knowledge, good logistics and large stock levels -- which have resulted in the realisation of short delivery times -- Teesing has proven to be a reliable partner for the business communities in both the Benelux countries, as well as many other countries throughout the world.
