Food heating or cooling of the baking machine.
The water transport system for the heating of the baking machine takes place with hoses. To keep this flexible and easy to connect and disconnect, often a solution with quick couplings is chosen.
In this application, it is important that the couplings are FDA approved since the water can be in contact with the food. The couplings must be light weighted so as not to overload the application. In order to prevent leakage during the disconnecting procedure a low spill coupling is the best solution. Since the bakery industry has a fierce competition, value for money is important.
As previously mentioned, it is important that the materials are FDA approved or that the correct combination of materials is used (think of contact corrosion or breakage of the coupling). Also, the choice of the sealing material is strongly dependent on the medium and may result in leakage. It is not always realized that a quick coupling is composed of five parts, made of different materials (or could be made).All of these materials should be compatible with the medium and the environment.

The quality of compressed air is essential for the operation of pneumatic systems. When compressing the air to, for instance 7 bar, the volume of air is compressed 8 times.
No expansion, no heating, less energy loss and still possible to fill up FCVs quickly up to 700 bar. This method has the additional advantage that no extra action is required to moisten the hydrogen: fuel cells function more efficiently if the hydrogen has been moistened.
